Meet Priya, Your Guide

Priya Chaphekar is a yoga instructor with over 60,000 teaching hours and more than 2,500 students guided in her eight-year journey. A former journalist and lifestyle editor, Priya’s life took an unexpected turn when she discovered yoga, a practice that brought structure and calm into her otherwise chaotic schedule. What began as a personal journey evolved into a lifelong commitment to sharing the therapeutic benefits of yoga.

Priya’s teaching approach is deeply rooted in the Iyengar tradition, which emphasises precision, alignment, and the mindful use of props. Her classes are as much about fostering physical strength and flexibility as they are about cultivating mental clarity and emotional balance. Known for her warmth and meticulous attention to detail, Priya creates a welcoming space for all—beginners and advanced practitioners alike.

Having trained under various senior teachers, Priya combines traditional wisdom with modern accessibility. She believes yoga is more than physical postures; it’s about reconnecting with yourself, embracing balance, and fostering mindfulness. Outside the studio, Priya hosts restorative retreats and workshops, where she helps students explore specific areas like emotional release, back-bending, and deep relaxation through bodywork techniques and sound baths.
